The Perfect Golf Swing... FOUND!

Have you ever made a perfect shot? If you have, you have the perfect golf swing inside of you...

And you just need to allow it to come out...

And now you think I'm crazy! But it's true, because I've found exactly where our mind hides our perfect golf swing...

Oh, It's there all right! You DID say you've hit a perfect shot before right?

Here's what we know. Any Golf Psychologist worth their salt will tell you that if you can get your conscious mind out of the way, you'll play so much better... And it's TRUE.

But have you ever wondered how all the golf psychology, NLP, or hypnotism can't stop a bad shot?

Do you want to know why?

Because; Although the conscious mind can ask for a certain swing to make a certain golf shot, and plan the swing for that golf shot, it doesn't execute or control the golf swing...

The subconscious mind does that!

But while the subconscious mind is directing your golf swing, it's also taking care of a multitude of other processes within your body, such as breathing, heart beat, etc., which ALL have a higher priority over the golf swing.

So if the golf swing isn't quite right, but you are still alive and unhurt, the subconscious is just fine with that.

The conscious... He's mad, but he's not going to get the subconscious to give up maintaining the body functions to make a golf swing... Or you should hope not, because you'd die right there!

So, yes, you have to keep the conscious from interrupting the process of the swing in the subconscious mind, but that doesn't stop the occasional gaff that can cost you 2 strokes or more...

So what's the answer? Priority!

I know I said that the subconscious wasn't going to move the golf swing up on the priority list, so what in hell am I thinking... Right?

Why not tie the golf swing to something higher on the priority list? If you can do that, the subconscious HAS to pay more attention to it! But what?

Have you ever tripped over something? What happens next? You IMMEDIATELY start taking protective measures and flailing about to keep yourself from falling down and HURTING (a high priority) yourself.

It happened because you lost your BALANCE, which just so happens to be much higher on the priority list than the golf swing.

Are you following me here? If you tie your golf swing to the balance mechanism in the subconscious mind, you will immediately improve your shotmaking.

I know because I've been teaching this one concept for years. I've taken "unteachable" golfers and had them playing better in as little as 15 minutes!

  • I don't work on their golf swing...
  • I don't teach them how to think...
  • I don't teach them what to think...
I just show them how to tie their golf swing to their auto balance mechanism and BOOM, instant improvement.

Once they understand how it work, they just practice using the balance to self correct every shot.

Sounds logical... doesn't it? Well I've proven the concept and then took it to an even higher level for professional golfers. The results at this level are usually flat out unbelievable.

I'm the only person on the planet how can show you this. Because I'm the only hard-headed fool who would spend 20 years+ to find it.

Fix Your Golf Swing Without Working On Your Swing

Possible?.. You bet!

I recently had a Division 1 golfer come by to see me about improving his focus on the golf course.

We worked on three things:

  • Connecting with Balance feedback to prevent losing the swing to balance.
  • Finding the pictures the subconscious uses to make the golf swing and then modifying them to improve his shots.
  • Using the above two elements together within his routine to lock his mind into the present and play each shot from his subconscious mind with zero distractions... In other words, to move himself into the zone for each shot... And then snap right back out until he was ready to hit the next shot.

The result?
  • Where he could only fade the ball, he left playing the ball both ways with pinpoint control.
  • Every club was not only more accurate, but longer as well... Adding as much as 50 yards to his average drive.
  • The knowledge to feel and immediately correct any bugs that tried to creep into his golf swing.
  • The ability to move the ball either way from a neutral stance, using only balance and visualization to shape the shot.
  • The ability to hit any shot in the book... With his eyes closed... Almost more accurately than with his eyes open!
  • The ability to swing at any shot up to 120% knowing he would never lose the shot right or left.
We never worked on his golf swing!

There was NO golf Psychology involved.

There was NO hypnosis involved.

This is NOT NLP.

So what did we work on?

  • We worked on awareness of the processes that the subconscious mind ALREADY uses to create and control motor movement in the body.
  • We connected with those processes consciously.
  • We taught the conscious mind how to help to tweak those processes to improve mental and physical efficiencies during each shot.
  • We added this process to his routine.
  • We boosted the golfer's confidence about 1000%.

We were working on Bio-Visual Focus.

So I have only one question...

If I can get those results and never address the swing itself... WHY would anyone spend time working on their golf swing?

You don't have to...

After 25 years of research to end the frustration of inconsistency on the golf course and inconsistent improvement, I not only solved the problem... I unlocked the hidden secret of golf.

Ask yourself if you would like to see the result my golfer saw...

If so, I explain how it works here: Unlocking golf's greatest secret.

Check it and let me know your thoughts... If you dare!

Does Your Golf Swing Slip Away On The Golf Course?

Maybe you've been here...

You know you have a big match coming up this weekend, so you spend nights at the driving range refining your golf swing. You practice your short game and your putting. You know in your mind that you can play better than you have so far this season and this week you're going to be ready.

Although you were nervous, you pulled off a great drive on the first hole. On the golf course, you're playing like a well oiled machine. It's the best round yet and then...

A routine shot goes a little sideways and you try to shrug it off. You scramble and save a bogie, but that's to be expected now and then...

The next drive is a little loose and you get that feeling... Oh no, not again!

Then the approach shot; 100 yards, your favorite distance and chunk!

What the!!!

Have you been there? I think we all have. I've even seen pros chunk seemingly easy shots.

But that doesn't make it any easier to face the rest of your foursome.

The question is: If you're playing well, what suddenly changes to cause this type of breakdown?

What do golfers usually do when this happens? They usually go to the driving range to work it out. Sometimes they have some serious anger to vent. I've seen golfers do some pretty crazy things after experiencing a meltdown on the golf course, none of which could possibly fix the problem.

Why? Because the problem is where they aren't looking. The problem is in their mind.

IT ISN'T A MENTAL PROBLEM THOUGH...

No, it's HOW they are using their mind. Let me explain.

What do you do when that first shot gets a little squirrely? You wake up and try to focus a little more on each shot...

But that seems to make things worse? So where can you turn if your increased focus makes things worse?

You know the feeling...

That's the feeling of despair that haunts golfers because there is nothing left and things are getting worse. That's when many golfers start drinking.

I once saw a golfer shoot a 43 on the front 9, get so drunk he could barely speak and turn in a 31 on the back 9 for a total 74. Unbelievable!

Instead of thinking, he took his mind completely out of the picture and ran on auto-pilot... He quit TRYING to focus and let his mind do it naturally.

You see, when you
try to focus, you actually think more and focus less. Let me explain.

Real focus comes from the subconscious, where
trying to focus makes you think more consciously.

This is important because the subconscious brain controls the body's movement, something the conscious mind can't do very well.

So what should you do? Well I don't recommend getting drunk. It rarely works.

The subconscious controls movement by thinking visually, in pictures. That is the secret of focus, thinking in pictures.

But there's still a problem. If you've tried visualizing your swing or maybe the shot without great results, there is a good reason it may not have worked as good as it should have.

You see, the mind also monitors feedback from the body to make sure that the movement is correct. For visualization to work, it must connect with the body's bio-feedback that the brain is using to moderate its movement.

Sounds complicated, but once you see how it works, it's actually easier than any other way of creating consistently accurate shots on the golf course.

What's even better is that once you get in touch with your Bio-feedback, the corresponding pictures come up automatically because your brain already does this for your normal everyday movement.

Talking to Yourself on the Golf Course...Crazy?

YES! But not because you're talking to yourself, but because you're golfing!

There is a thin line between genius and lunacy and golfers walk that line whenever they play. How so? Glad you asked...

In what other activity do you see so many people take part... To relax... And end up screaming at the top of their lungs in frustration. They break clubs and they throw clubs, sometimes all of them. I've seen golfers throw new clubs in a lake and drive off. Shortly after, I watched crazed golfers in the lake fighting over those same clubs. If you were from another planet, you could liken it to the crazed actions of anyone possessing the evil ring in JRR Tolken's "Lord of The Rings."

What pushes golfers to such extremes? A simple word... Expectations.

Golfers usually expect to play better than they do, and when they don't sometimes they get crazy. I've seen golfers talk to themselves loudly and vigorously. I only wish I had a recorder in times like that. But PGA Tour golfers do it too... Maybe not to the degree of questionable sanity, but they do talk to themselves.

Here's what I believe is crazy when it comes to golfers. They'll have a bad day on the course, scream and yell at themselves all day, glare at anyone who asks about their game, and when they are done, they'll throw the sticks in the car, go home and do nothing to change their game. The next time out, the same routine starts over again... Now that's crazy.

It's the definition of crazy... Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

The REAL reason for the frustration? Lack of control over their golf game. For many golfers, no matter how hard they try, something always happens during their golf game that ruins the game. In spite of every attempt to right the ship, they just can't fix the problem. I went through it for years and frankly I talked to myself and threw clubs too.

Golf isn't a game about getting the stupid little ball into the hole. It's a game about learning self control. If you can do it in golf, you can do it with the rest of your life.

Yeah, you might be thinking, "I'm not going to accept that poor of a golf game because I know I can do better, so don't tell me to get control over myself!"

And you are right. You need to learn how to gain control over your golf game. You have to learn how the body and mind work TOGETHER to make a golf swing and a golf shot (they are different). Then you need to learn how to do it for your own game.

I've spent half my life figuring it out. Not just for me, but for any golfer. You want to let go of the frustration? It has been accomplished by golfers around the world.

The rest of this blog and other blogs that I write have the answers. Take the time to get rid of irrational craziness so you can be crazy... When you want to!

Using Balance to Improve Your Golf Swing

Isn't Life crazy? I thought I would be able to write this days ago, but this is the first chance I've had to write this next post. So thanks for your patience...

Ok, so did you try the exercise? If not, how do you ever expect to improve... Osmosis?

Let me explain the very simple principle we are going to use to make the swing damned near automatic. It's the principle of Dynamic Balance in the body. Basically, when you start moving, the body's first priority is to keep you in balance. It's a self-preservation instinct hard wired into your brain. It will happen whether you like it or not and it can work for you or against you...

You see, if you start your motion from an imbalanced position, the body will do its job and place you back in balance, which is fine unless you are also trying to swing a golf club and get it back to the golf ball. Why? Because the body will redirect whatever muscles it has to in order to get you in balance. Unfortunately, this process breaks down the golf swing because the body's muscles that you wanted to use to swing the club were pulled off of the job and reassigned to balance duty.
The result is usually ugliness...

Now if you start in balance, your body will fight to keep you in balance as you move, which means it is actually going to work a little harder to keep the golf club on the right plane. The result is what you see on TV, a smooth, powerful, accurate golf swing.

So the next question is, "How do you know when you are in balance?"

I knew you'd ask. Simply feel your feet and the muscles in your body. When in balance., the weight is even between the feet and centered between the balls and heels of your feet... In the arches.
Every muscle has an opposing muscle, and if they are both working equally, they are working in balance. That's it. Sounds easy, but it requires a higher level of awareness of your body. close your eyes and take time to feel different muscles and their opposing muscles and see if one is working harder than the other.

To find which muscles oppose, move around. If you lean forward, feel the muscles that support that position. Some will pull, others will push. Go the opposite direction and feel to see which muscles switch roles. The ones that do are opposing.

So, all of this basically tells you that if you can start your golf swing from a balanced stance, your muscles will work to help you improve your golf swing. Pretty cool, huh?

I've made the whole process even easier with a routine that took me over ten years to develop. The routine will place any golfer in a powerful, balanced golf stance so they can eliminate many of the needless mistakes that occur because of an imbalanced setup.

To see that routine,

Once you get this balance feel down, I'll show you how to use it to add power, accuracy, and even shape shots, based completely on feel.

The Secret of the Ultimate Golf Swing

In the last post I started you thinking about how the mind controls the body and how to use that to control the movement of your golf swing. You may be thinking that control means being machine-like, but actually, the opposite is true. With the proper use of the mind, your golf swing can be more free than ever and be very powerful AND accurate.

How, you ask?

Instead of trying to control each muscle group by thinking about it, let the brain do it the way it has for you from birth; automatically. I talked about the balance feedback sensors in the body. These sensors are finely calibrated and not subject to the factors that cause normal muscle sensors to send false information to the brain.

You will use muscle sensors in developing your personal perfect golf swing, but only as indicators that they are doing their job. If you try to use their feedback to correct problems by gauging how well the muscles are working, false indicators will lead you down a trail that constantly circles back to the same issues. Translated, you'll chase your tail and keep re-fixing the same issues.

That's because as the muscles are being used, they are constantly changing state. They start out cold and stiff, then as they warm up, they loosen up, but if they get tired they may stiffen up again. As the muscles change state they send different signals to the brain for the same movement.

So if you are using muscle feel to gauge different parts of your swing, as the muscle states change, so will your swing. For example, How far do you bend over when you set up? If your back is stiff, do you bend the same amount? Can you know if you are correct by feeling the muscles in your body if they feel so differently? The answer is no. But until now, golfers have been given no other way to manage their golf swing on the golf course.

But the one thing you can always tell is whether any muscle group is working. As long as you don't need to go further, that information can be used reliably to maintain a consistent golf swing while removing the frustration that goes with it.

The main sensors you will use to maintain a reliable golf swing are the balance sensors. They respond to the Earth's gravity through a special network of receptors. All you have to do to start using this network is to ask the brain to show you what is happening with the network.

There are only a few steps for using this process to free up and power up your golf swing. Today we are going to discuss step 1.:

Step 1: Increase your awareness of balance and feel in the body.

We started this in the last post. Now we'll take up a notch...

Close your eyes and walk, being careful not to run into anything. Really, so ahead and do it!

Now let's work on increasing awareness. As you walk, try to pinpoint the locations in the bottom of your feet that you land on and as you roll across each foot, try to feel exactly where the most weight is at any one time. Do you land in the middle of your heel or one side? Do you push off of the ball of the foot or is more pressure toward the little toe?

Also notice in your mind that with your eyes closed, you are trying to keep a picture of where you are going in your mind. As the picture fades, you have to open your eyes to refresh it.

You are visualizing 2 ways with this little experiment. First, in trying to keep a picture of where you are going you are simply using pictures.

Second, when you are trying to pinpoint the movement of weight across each foot, you are visualizing based on balance feedback.

These are both tools that can supercharge your golf game. Practice these exercises and the next time, I'll show you how to use them in your golf game.
